Cast Free!

Asher got his cast off last week! I think it was a long five weeks for everyone involved, but Asher took it so well. He really learned to hobble around. He actually was getting around better with the cast than he is without it. But that's totally normal. His little leg needs to get used to bending again. So we're spending some time in the tub, on the couch, watching movies, coloring, and all that.

Here are some pictures of his little cast, after five weeks of wear. Why yes, that is a hole in the heel, and it was coming apart at his toes. His foot was so gross when the cast came off. But a long bath fixed that pretty quick.

He's relearning to walk, and we're trying to keep him from hurting it again. Lately he's figured out he's tall enough to turn the light switches on and off, so his new favorite thing is to hobble around turning on and off lights.
